Obituary for Dorothy Colleen Jelley (Sloan)
Passed away peacefully at Ottawa Civic Hospital, July 18, 2014 at the age of 85 with her family at her side. Cherished wife of 52 years of Edward. Beloved mother of Susan Wark (Mike), Chris, and Richard (Tanya). Predeceased by her parents James and Laura Sloan, brother Percy and sister Monica Lang. Sister of Shirley Paul, Marie, Clarney, Vincent (Ben) and Desmond. Doting “Granner” of Jeffrey and Stephanie Wark, Brett and Christopher Jelley, Ethan and Landen Jelley. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews. Thanks to Dr. Brian Dick for his great care over the years. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Monday, July 21 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 153 Woodroffe Avenue on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute or CHEO.
