Condolence: Dear Norma,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Georges passing. He was one of the most repected persons inside and outside the Rotary world.I know how close you both were-a model couple I'd say.I was sorry I couldn't extend my condolences in person although I mistakenly went to the funeral home the wrong Thursday and was away the following one when the memorial service was being held.I wish I could have attended.George will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.Stay strong and keep well.

Condolence: Norma,

I am so saddened to hear of George's passing. I had great respect for George as I knew him from my work with him when I was at Ag Canada and George was at the regional vet lab in Kemptville as well as through Rotary; me at West Ottawa and George as a DG and the Kemptville Rotary club. George was truly "Mr. Rotary". I admired his dedication to Rotary and its work. I have just completed my year (2013-14" as District Governor of District 6740 in eastern Kentucky. George and other PDG's I knew from District 7040 served as a model for me in my DG year.

My sincere sympathy goes to you and your family. It has been a long time since our Ormstown days, but over the years we have met once in awhile abd I have heard of George through various profressional contacts. I still visit Ormstown once a year but not the fair anymore. With fond memories, including those of your four brothers, Gordon Winter

We were so sorry to hear the sad news. Our deepest sympathies. It was our great pleasure to have known George over the past 10 years. We will remember him every time we hear " Rock Around the Clock." Bill will miss him at the Historical Society and their long talks on many topics. Bill and I are out of the province until the end of September and unfortunately will not be at the funeral.
