Condolences

Condolence From: Audrey Lawrence
Condolence: I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Karen Iddon. I used to work at the Civic Hospital when Karen was in HR there and we did lots of projects together. She always had a wonderful smile and a zany attitude which I quite enjoyed. Please accept my condolences. I know she will be well missed by all her family and many friends. Audrey Lawrence

Condolence: I met Karen during a difficult time of my life. I was an international student waiting on my immigration status..unemployed..wondering if I could start a life here or go back home.. Karen gave me a chance. No prejudice. We became immediate friends. It was her encouragement that gave me a kick-start in this country. I never forgot that. She was generous, open-minded, sharp as a whip. A good friend. Had an infectious laughter. I will miss that. I will miss Karen.

Condolence From: Pierre Duranleau
Condolence: I had the unique privilege of befriending Karen and Balou many years ago, back in the early 90s. They took me into their family and home as a guest tenant when I briefly worked in Ottawa at the time. Karen's extraordinary intelligence, animated wit and friendly disposition was obvious and made me feel welcomed and at home. You have touched many people along the way. Rest in peace Karen. Pierre D. Montreal.
