DI GANGI, Ninette (Maquignaz)

Peacefully in Ottawa on September 23, 2014. Ninette has been called home to see face to face her Lord and Saviour. She was the devoted and dearly loved wife of the late Rev. Dr. Mariano Di Gangi. Together they ministered in congregations in Montreal, Hamilton, Philadelphia and Toronto and to a wider missionary community. She served on the boards of World Vision and Women Alive and she was known as a gifted speaker and wise counsellor, but her first calling was a dedicated wife and mother. Daughter of the late Louis Maquignaz and Marguerite Ferraris of Montreal. Ninette is survived by three children : John (Vicki), Marian Archibald (Jack) and Peter, all of Ottawa, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. As well, her memory will be cherished by her three siblings: Louis of Terrebonne, Que., Edward of Vancouver B.C. and Margaret Ogston of Ottawa. The family wishes to thank the staff of West End Villa, 4th floor, for their compassionate care, with special appreciation to Eva, Joanna and Elisabetta. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 971 Woodroffe Ave., on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 2 pm. Visitation with the family at the church from 1 pm. Burial private.
