Torck, Valerie (née Hamilton)
It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Valerie Ann Elizabeth Torck on September 28th, 2014. Beloved and cherished wife of James. Loving and devoted mother of Laurie (Nick) and James (Kelly). Phenomenally proud Nanny of Christopher, Andrew and Phoenix. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Ethel (née Kilrea) Hamilton and by her brothers John, Garry, Bruce and Gordie. Survived by her loving sister Helen Roscoe (Garth). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Known for her boundless energy, competitive spirit, and caring personality, she took great delight in the accomplishments and achievements of others and was also there to pick up the pieces. The flame is extinguished but the light will remain forever. Friends are invited to attend a reception in memory of Valerie at Bistro Fifty Four, 54 Springbrook Drive on Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Ottawa Mission.
