December 21, 1932 - September 30, 2014.

Died peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus, surrounded by family. Predeceased by her husband (Donato), and her brothers Ettore, Renato, and Antonio, and will be missed by her brother Giuseppe and her nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her beloved children George (Judith), Ezio (AnnMarie), and Lina, grandchildren Jessica, Julia (Mathieu), Thomas, Marc (Melanie), Cassandra, and Andrew, and great grandchildren Giancarlo, Jack, and Keyan. Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday October 2 at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry at 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) from 5-9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church on Friday October 3, 2014 at 10 am. For those who wish, contributions in Maria's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer's Society, and the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
