Obituary for Margaret Elizabeth Myers (Gibbons)

Margaret Elizabeth Myers (Gibbons)
Myers, Margaret Elizabeth, (nee Gibbons)
February 20, 1926 – October 26, 2014
Peacefully, at home with grace and dignity on Sunday, October 26, 2014 in her 88th year. She touched those fortunate enough to know her and will be forever in our hearts. Dear daughter of the late Wilfred and Eleanor Gibbons. Beloved wife of the late Conrad. Cherished mother of Bernard (Annette) and Gerard (Amanda). Proud and loving Grandma to Isabelle, whom she adored. Predeceased by daughters Cecilia (1950), and Catherine (1983). Sadly missed by siblings Wilfred (Marion), James (Mary), Robertson (Marlene), and Gertrude (Kevin), sister-in law Maureen and many nieces and nephews, and her many friends in Toronto, Calgary and Ottawa. She was predeceased by brother Gordon and sister Joan. Margaret was grateful to Billingswood Manor. All of the staff showed great fondness and kindness towards her. Her close friend Joan, nurses Diana, Mylena, and Mohammed, and PSW’s Almaz, Mitra, Laki, and Cecile, and Karyne and Leann were especially kind and compassionate. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Denisse Pella, Dr. Bridgett Thompson, and Dr. Tara Tucker. Special thanks to Nurse Judy, and PSW’s Rosemary, Zak, and, Sally for their loving care over Margaret’s last days. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. (at O’Connor) on Thursday, October 30, 2014 2:00 to 4:00pm and & 7:00-9:00pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11:00am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 194 Fourth Avenue (at Percy) followed by a reception. For those who wish, a donation to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Say not in grief: "She is no more", but live in thankfulness that she was.
