Obituary for Nelson Thomas
Peacefully, on Thursday October 30, 2014 at the age of 94. Predeceased by loving wife Jean Christine (nee Robertson), parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survived by sisters-in-law Patricia McLachlan (Glen), Isobel Hale, brother-in-law Ross Robertson (Frances). Uncle to Jill Wood (Roy) and several other nieces and nephews. Very special companion Verna Marie Pitcher. Served his country in England, Sicily Italy and Northwest Europe. Life member and Past Master Ashlar Lodge 564. Member of Luxor Daylight 741. Life member and 33 degree Scottish Rite Mason and member Tunis Shriner No. 179. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Monday November 3 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11:30 am. Burial White Lake Community Cemetery. Donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre Foundation or others of your choice.
