Obituary for Abraham Bookman

WW II Veteran

Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre on Monday, May 25, 2015, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Lila Pleet. Loving father of Steve (Myrna), Rick (Margot) and Dave Bookman. Cherished grandfather of Christine Demers (Steve) and great-grandfather of Matthew Demers. Will be sadly missed by his sister Mildred Weinstein and sister-in-law, Miriam Pleet. A special thank you to Mary and the staff of Rideau 2 South for their care and compassion. Graveside service Wednesday May 27, 2015 at .Jewish Memorial Gardens, 2692 Bank Street at 2 pm. Friends and family are invited to a reception at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, 1 Hunt Club Road immediately following the graveside service. For those wishing, donations to Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
