Throop, Arthur Walter (Longtime Employee of Canada Starch) - passed away suddenly and peacefully at Wellington House, Prescott, on Wednesday, May 27th , 2015. Arthur Throop of Domville, in his 92nd year, was the beloved husband of 69 years to Kathleen (VanCamp) who predeceased him just 8 days previous, on May 19th , 2015. Dear father of Linda Wright, Nina Throop (George Burchell) and Joan Fortier (Peter). Grandfather of Brenda Darling (Larry), Erin Lavigne (Andre Jean) and Natalie Fortier (Rob Graveline) and 4 great-grandchildren, Vincent, Addi, Khloe, and Beau. Survived by sisters Alice McLean, Mary Reynolds, Dureen Robinson and brother Earl Throop (Helen), also sisters-in-law NormaThroop and Marion Streight as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Sadie Myers and brothers Carl Throop and Raymond Junior Throop.
Friends are invited to visit at the Purcell Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 11 Centre Street, Spencerville on Monday, June 1st from 2pm until time of Service in the Chapel at 3pm. Followed by the interment in Maynard United Church Cemetery. Reception to follow. In memory of Arthur donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
