Obituary for Robert "Bob" Perry "Goldberg"

Peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Kemptville District Hospital at the age of 73. Bob was very proud of his Kemptville roots growing up on the South River Road where he found the love of his life Shirley Ann Parke. They made a home on the same road and raised 3 sons on his beloved Rideau River. He was the loving father to Neil (Colleen), Jim (Kim) and Steve who truly was the wind beneath Bob’s wings for these past few years as Bob struggled with lung disease. He was a wonderful Grampa to Cody, Kiefer, Bobby, Brooke, Casity, Kirsten and Faith. Most cherished brother-in-law of Lynda Parke-Carruthers (Stan) and stepbrother to Jean Higham (Keith) of England. Bob was predeceased by his parents Rena and Norm Goldberg and stepfather Mel Jardine. Bob was very thankful to have Fred Stay in his life these last few years. He will be missed by family and friends, who were all so very dear to his heart.
Friends are invited to visit at the Brown Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville, on Sunday, May 31st , 2015 from 1pm to 6 pm and Monday, June 1st from 11:30am. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1 pm. in the Kemptville Pentecostal Church, 1964 County Road 43 West. (between Muldoon Rd. & Actons Corners Rd.). Interment at Kemptville Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kemptville District Hospital would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
