Obituary for Arnell Saul Goldberg

(Osgoode Hall, 1959)
After surprising us many times with his resilience, Arnell died peacefully on the morning of June 16, 2015. Known for his sharp legal mind and his gentle character, Arnell practiced law passionately for over 50 years until he reluctantly retired due to his leukemia. Arnell is survived by his wife, Judith Ross, who took such loving care of him. He was a sweet dad to Eden and Josh (Lisa) and stepfather to Ross and Bryan, a beloved Poppa to Jacob, Zohar, Addison and Maya, a wonderful uncle to Damon (Amy) and he shared great devotion with his brother Lewis. Arnell made friends easily and took friendship seriously; it is impossible to list all those he held dear. Our family is very grateful for the kind and compassionate care Arnie received during his many weeks at the Ottawa General Hospital. The nurses in Oncology and Hematology were our angels. Arnell's funeral service will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue, on Thursday, June 18th at 1 p.m. Interment at the Jewish Memorial Gardens, 2692 Bank Street, Ottawa. Shiva to be observed at 3F - 260 Metcalfe Street from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday Evening prayers will be held on Thursday and Sunday at 7 p.m. In Memoriam donations to Tenyad.ca or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
