Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We were priveleged to live beside Marilyn and Ray for 3 years and enjoyed a lasting friendship. Marilyn was so kind, compassionate, interesting and just a wonderful person. She was a second 'gramma' to our son Jonathan who was a constant companion to Matthew!! She took him in, gave him treats and welcomed him into their home any time of day or night. It was such a blessing that Jonathan had such a wonderful friend as Matthew and a caring family in the Rixons. We have such wonderful memories of that time and the Rixons made such a tremendous difference to our 3 years of life in Ottawa. We will never forget Marilyn, her passionate love of family, her grace and generosity of spirit, her sense of humour and her outspoken political views! Thanks for the memories, Marilyn.
