Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 30th at the age of 93, surrounded by his good friends at Orchard View. He is now reunited with the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Ruby. Left to celebrate his memory are his children, David Nuth, Laura Nuth-Isnor, Cindy Johnston (Brian) and Jennifer Golin (Mauro), his ten grandchildren, Alexandra, Adam, Sean, Liam, Ryan, Jordan, Kelvin, Noah, Matteo and Rowan, along with many friends and extended family. Mel was a member of the Kiwanis club for 75 years, a member of Legion Branch No. 314 and a life time member of the United Church of Canada. Mel’s sense of humour and charisma endeared him to many people. He was known by many and heard by all. His absence will long be felt by all those who knew him. A Memorial Service with a Legion Service will be held at Rideau Park United Church on Wednesday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m.
