Pauline (Joanisse) 63, at Central West Hospice surrounded by the love of her family, returned to her heavenly home on July 28th after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Her devotion to her family, and her faith in God supported her during her struggle and ultimately gave her the peace she so deserved. Pauline was the beloved wife and soul mate of the late Larry O’Neil. She leaves behind her only daughter, Jennifer (Tony Farago) and cherished grandchildren Sophia and Lucas. Loving daughter of Therese (Roy) and predeceased by her father Donald Joanisse and her brother Dale Joanisse (Louise). Big sister to Nicole (Wayne Veary). Pauline will be greatly missed for her generous spirit and her never failing sense of humour by her many friends, colleagues and extended family. A special thank you to all the nurses and doctors at Central West Hospice and to Mary Lou, Tony, Cindy, Christina and Linda who eased her final journey.
Friends may pay their respects Thursday July 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, West Chapel (150 Woodroffe Ave). A Christian Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church (153 Woodroffe Ave) on Friday July 31 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that in memoriam donations be made to Central West Hospice (1400 Carling Ave).
