Condolence: I was so very sorry to hear of Allan's passing. I worked with Allan at St. Augustine School, he was always so good with our little primary special needs children. I would often drive him home or help him with computer issues and in return he would buy me garlic cheese from the factory in St. Albert, loved that Allan, thank you. My condolences to the Gillis family, may he rest in peace.
Lori Cameron (Victoria, BC).

Condolence From: Deb and May
Condolence: To my dear nephews Duncan and Alasdair, partners Ananda and Elizabeth and grandchildren Bodhi and Rohan, Calum and Mairi our deepest condolences. We are so sorry for your loss of a cherished father and proud grandpa. Allan's great wit, storytelling and love of music was all for the love of family and friends. In Allan's time of need, so many came to his bedside to comfort him or sent messages of hope and love. He said, "I'm overwhelmed with love" in my last visit with him. My brother Allan passed knowing he was well loved and was held by his beautiful sons. He will rest in peace. With love, Deb and May (Vancouver)

Condolence: I am saddened to hear of Allan's death. He was a welcome visitor to our home in Creignish, always dropping in to see his Uncle Dan. Allan was kind, gentle, and very willing to share a tune on the pipes along with some of our family history. My sincere sympathies to all. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: A wealth of knowledge was stored with Allan and he was so willing to share history, genealogy, and stories with those who shared his passion. Thank you Allan for the many times you helped families especially at the Chestico Museum & Historical Society in Port Hood. My deepest sympathy to his two sons and their families. I hope you will pick up the torch and continue his work in genealogy. Rest well.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about Allan's passing. He was a wonderful man and a fountain of Cape Breton knowledge and lore. I really enjoyed running into Allan at Highland Games and Scottish events.

He was a great ambassador for Cape Breton and it was always a pleasure to hear his stories.

He was very proud of his island and his wonderful family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
