Condolence From: Lin & Arnie Auerbach
Condolence: February-05-16
We have always held Ulana as one of our dearest and closest friends, enjoying her humour, her hospitality, her home, and her friendship when we lived in Ottawa or visited from BC. We admired her bravery throughout her illness, realizing this past summer that 16 years of battling was taking its toll. We are sorry not to be there at this time but hope to visit in the spring for the spreading of her ashes in the garden.

Condolence: Dearest Kreso
I was so saddened to read of Ulana's passing. I have so many fond memories of the years we spent together in Mont Cascade and I think of you often. I was so touched that you both joined me at the golf club that evening before I left Ottawa. I will hold that evening in my memory forever. I will always remember Ulana's warm hospitality and those incredible meals she prepared with such love and tradition in the beautiful home you shared together . Kreso, I am so sorry I can't be there in person today as you celebrate her life but know you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Love Deborah

Also such a caring person, especially illustrated by her work for Victoria’s Quilts. We are richer for having known her. May the support of family and friends help you through this difficult time of loss. Our deepest heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Love, Darlene

Condolence: God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace be Thine’.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
