Elliot Raymond Besner
A man of great kindness and optimism Elliott Raymond (Ray) Besner passed away with dignity surrounded by his wife and family on April 30, 2016 in Ottawa Ontario. Ray was the son of the late Sylvia (Nee Rayman) and Mendel Besner. Husband of 48 years to Shirley (nee Conant). Devoted father to Cheryl Besner, Stacey Delfabro the late Howard and Andrew Besner. Brother and brother-in-law to Alan and Mona Besner, David and Edye Besner. Grandfather of Daniel, Meaghan and Ryan Cohen and Wyatt and Mathew Delfabro. We would like to thank the care givers from Saint-Vincent and the Civic hospital for all their support and kindness. Ray's mischievous sense of humour will be missed. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 3 at 11 a.m. in the Cwinn Chapel of Jewish Memorial Gardens, 6549 Herberts Corners Road, Osgoode, with interment to follow. Shiva and evening services will commence in Montreal at 472 Argyle Ave., Westmount Tuesday 3-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations please make donations in Memory of Raymond Besner to The Parkinson's Society of Ontario.
