Obituary for Freda Pearl Darwin (McGregor)
Peacefully, on May 16, 2016, with Allen, her devoted husband of 67 years, by her side. Survived by sons David (Linda) and Eric (Frances), grandchildren Matthew, Martin, Angela, Michelle (Calvin) and Cosmos, and great-grandchildren Alexander and Benjamin. Born November 15, 1926 in Ostrea Lake, NS to Walter Seymour McGregor and Odessa Frances (Williams). Predeceased by her siblings Edith, Walter, Gordon, John, Harold, Douglas, Owen, George, Bernard, Murray, and Una. Survived by sisters Evelyn, Marion and Edna. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond) on Thursday, May 19 from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 153 Woodroffe Ave., Ottawa on Friday, May 20 at 11:00a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa & Renfrew County would be appreciated.
