Peacefully and painlessly at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital on September 24, 2016, at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Sandra Garland (nee Blair). Loving father of Maddy and step-father of Mark and Cheryl.Cherished grandfather of Molly, Robin, Hailey, Douglas, and Abigail. Brother to Lesley and uncle of Shandon and Zoe. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor) on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 1 pm until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society
