Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the Elisabeth Bruyère Health Centre on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the age of 51. Beloved husband and best friend of Melinda Reynolds (née Vaillancourt). Proud father of Owen and Katelyne. Cherished son of Doreen Reynolds (née Robinson); and son-in-law of Marcel and Mary Vaillancourt. Dear brother of Craig Reynolds (Michelle Labrie); and brother-in-law of Lesley Hoffmann (Fred). Uncle of Jonathan Huismans (Elyssa Ferguson) and Lily Hoffmann. Ryan will be dearly missed by his best friend Chris Lavergne, and will be fondly remembered by his many friends, his colleagues at OC Transpo and G&T, his neighbours in Rockland, and the St. Patrick’s School Family. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. (at O’Connor), Ottawa on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 7 – 9 pm and on Friday from 9 – 11 am. A memorial service celebrating Ryan’s life will be held in the Chapel on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11 am. A reception will follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. The family would like to thank the staff of The Ottawa Hospital - Cancer Centre Program. Memorial donations made to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre Program or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
