Peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in her 90th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Maurice R. Stewart (1985). Pre-deceased by her son Peter (2006) and her sister Marion (2012) and her parents Ivy and Ernest Portugese. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Diane (Bob McGill) and Sandra. Cherished grandmother of Alex. Mother-in-law of Tracey Wright. June was born in Carleton Place, Ontario. As a secretary with External Affairs, she travelled and lived in many places such as New York City, Washington D.C., Rome and Prague. She was happy to settle down and raise her family in Ottawa. June also enjoyed her work as a secretary at First Avenue School and at MacSkimming Outdoor Education Centre. In memory of June, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Interment in Franktown Cemetery.
