John or Mr. Reid , as I addressed him while in the office , was both a mentor and inspiration during the twenty some years we worked together at the city of Gloucester's Planning Dept. He was always a gentleman with wisdom and sage advice readilly available to those who asked and listened to him . I felt at times he knew me better that I knew myself . Never forgotten and remembered with utmost respect .
