Passed away peacefully on July 19, 2017 in his 100th year. Son of the late Antonio Silveira Garcia and the late Maria Julia de Sousa. Predeceased by his wife Maria Albertina (nee Goulart), his son Antonio (Dina) and his granddaughter Helena. Leaves behind his children Emircio (Lai) of Portugal, Carlos (Dorothy) and Helena (Lesley), grandchildren Edgar, Glen, Tara (Darren), Sherry (Daniel), great-grandchildren John Michael, Sherry, Tracy, Lucas, Thomas, Reece and Oscar and great-great-granddaughter Annika. Thank you to the caring staff at Robertson House, in particular those on the 2nd floor. A private family visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa.
