Peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital Trauma Unit on Wednesday November 8, 2017 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Hiscott) for 63 years. Loved and cherished father of Heather (Glen McCrae). Predeceased by sisters Isabel, Althea, Celna, Leotta and Eleanor, and by his brother Addison. Son of the late James and Mildred Vye of Miramichi, NB. Harland was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Harland retired in 1993 after 42 years of dedicated service with the T. Eaton Company. Friends and family may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Sunday, November 12, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 13 at Knox United Church, 25 Gibbard Avenue, Nepean, at 2 p.m. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
