Major (Ret.) William (Bill) Walter S. Ashe
1934 2019
Surrounded by family, Bill gently passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in his 85th year. Loving husband and lifelong dance partner to Nancy. Beloved father, father-in-law and North Star to Jo-Anne (Peter), David (Solange), Susanne (Steve), and Heather. Grandfather, Campfire Club commander, master woodworker and mentor to James, Emily, Lara, Brianna, Jake, Iain, Olivia, Maggie, Regan, and Leo. Favorite brother of Heather (Barry) and brother-in-law Bill (Beth) and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Proud member of the RCAF for 35 years.
Heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Longfields Manor for their excellent care of Uncle Bill.
A private family celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Bill’s memory to Parkinson Canada (www.parkinson.ca)
