Margaret passed away on April 27, 2019 in the presence of family at the Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor in Toronto at the age of 91. Born in Ottawa in 1928 to Basil and Lena Adams, Margaret was predeceased by her husband Donald Bruce in 2015. Beloved mother of Catherine (Gordon), Carolyn (Tom), Doug (Gail), and Heather (Claudio). Dear grandmother of Rachel, Martha, Kyla, Sheena, Connor, Aiden and Isabel and great-grandmother to Emelia, Morgan and Bowen. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother, a keen bridge player and an avid reader. A talented painter, she passed away surrounded by her paintings of her home and the cottage life at Crosby Lake. Even in her last weeks she continued to paint. She will be sadly missed by friends and family. Many thanks for the care received at New Horizons Tower and in her final year at Meighen Manor. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Saturday June 8 from 10:00 am until time of service in the Chapel at 11:00 am. Followed by a reception. Donations in memory of Margaret can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
