Obituary for Jane E. Carr

Jane E. Carr
May 7, 2019 at the age of 92

I, Jane Carr, have written this about my life.
The greatest moments of it all have been as a mother to the two most wonderful, loving and caring daughters Jennifer (Gord Pelosse) and Trish (Peter Howes). They have also given me my treasured grandchildren Darcy Pelosse and Sarah Howes, both of whom have made us a very, very proud family.
I have been predeceased by my parents Alma and Maurice Badgley, MBE, my brother Jack (Bud) of California, and my husband Capt. N.E. (Bud) Carr.
I was raised in Montreal and moved to Barrie when my father was posted to Camp Borden with the R.C.A.F. during the war.
After marrying Capt. Carr and raising a family on many USA army bases, we were posted to Quebec City where I was extremely proud to have earned my commission in the CWAC and served in the Militia with the Royal Rifles of Canada. I have many happy memories of also being a Girl Guide Leader in that beautiful city in the 1960’s.
Our final posting was Ottawa where I also served at 113 Manning Depot, and worked for the Geological Survey of Canada.
I’ve had a wonderful blessed life. Thank you and God bless my family and friends who made it so.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bridlewood Retirement Residence and the Civic Hospital for their outstanding kind and compassionate care.
