John Anthony Ferriss
1935-2019
Peacefully at home after a long fight with cancer, John passed away surrounded by his family.
He leaves behind his wife Françoise Ferriss (née Renaud), his son Kevin (Tanya Di Valentin), his daughter Nadine (Morné du Toit), and grandchildren, Luca, Zachary, Liam, Gabriella and Anya. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his sister Susan (John Fisher), his brother Michael (Maureen Patterson) both from Ireland and by his nieces and nephews,Tracey, Bridgit, Jane, James, Richard, Adam, Barb, Bairbre, Una, Eugene and Norah.
Pre-deceased by sisters Una and Norah Ferriss and his brother Timothy (Rita Cush).
Friends and family are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway) on Monday March 18th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 400 St. Laurent Blvd. on Tuesday March 19th at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, if desired memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
