August 13, 1917 – April 12, 2019
Born Rosemarkie, Scotland
Peacefully at Barrhaven Manor on Friday, April 12, 2019 aged 101 years. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Flynn. Loving mother of James Flynn, Joanne Dearden (the late Bob) and Nancy Flynn. Cherished Granny of Jimmy, Kristy (Travis) and Cameron (Jessica) Flynn, Cindi Walpot (Conrad) & Bobby Dearden. Great- Granny of Siarra and Sophie Walpot, Mackie Somerville and Lennon Flynn. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Scotland, U.S.A. and Canada. Christina met Stan, a member of the Canadian Forestry Corps during WWII, and became a War Bride, arriving in Canada with James in 1946. Stan and Chris spent many happy decades making their home and raising their family in the Kemptville area. Family and Friends are invited to visit the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 805 Prescott St., Kemptville on Friday, April 26th from 12 noon – 2 p.m. followed by Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment at South Gower Cemetery. Donations in memory of Christina may be made to War Amps of Canada and CHEO.
