Obituary for Shaun Nicholas Norman Foley

Shaun Nicholas Norman Foley
Shaun Nicholas Norman Foley
January 11, 1959 – April 26, 2019

In his 61st year, Shaun Foley, owner of Foley Automotive passed away suddenly at his home and shop in Kemptville.
Shaun was the first-born son to Doreen (Blake) and Jack Foley (both deceased). He grew up in Ottawa with his brothers and sisters - Kimberley (Richard), Daniel (Susan), Patrick (Deborah) and Susan.
Shaun was a loving, supportive husband and rock to his wife Lori and devoted father to Pamela (Ryan), Liam (deceased), Beverly, John and cherished stepfather to Sandy and Allison.
He was also a proud and smitten grandfather to Ryder, Grace, Nash and step-grandfather to Zoe.
Dear son-in-law to Ted and Betty Siverns and brother-in-law to Steve (Janet), Brian (Lea) and Glenn (Sharon), Uncle to Kathryn, Sarah, Bradley, Ryan, Megan, Joseph, Dana, Kye, Laura, David, Ryan, Krista and Andrea.
Shaun will be sadly missed by his former wife Christine and her daughter Miriam and will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
As a child, Shaun would draw intricate pictures of cars – true pieces of art, so it was no surprise to those who knew him that he would transfer that passion into his own automobile shop.
Shaun was a true jack of all trades and master of many and was known for his wicked sense of humour. He loved to play guitar and played in several bands as a young man.
He was an avid military historian, a dedicated Bruins and Sens hockey fan, and a loyal Blue Jays fan.
Shaun enjoyed many adventures with his wife and best friend, Lori, fishing and camping, Saturday morning garage sales, hockey and so much more. Travel and camping adventures earned Shaun several nicknames. The Baron, Ernie, Sean Connery to name a few.
Shaun’s circle of friends was wide and his loss will be felt by many both new and old, especially his camping friends, Shelley and Dave, Reggie and Barb and his new Beer O’Clock friends, Randy and Terry and Ross and Lisa. He appreciated you all.
Family and friends are invited to visit the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm. A Celebration of Shaun’s Life will be held in the Chapel at 1 pm. Burial details to be announced at a later date. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers is appreciated.
