Obituary for Shirley Alexena Keely (nee Duncan)
July 10, 1923 – April 16, 2019
Peacefully with her daughters by her side in Ottawa. Beloved wife of the late John Redmond “Red” Keely. Cherished mother of Kathryn (June Staton), Sheryl (James Dobenko) and Erin (Rick Biewald). Proud Grandma of Sarah and Jamie Dobenko, Jennie, Allison, Laurie and John Biewald.
A special thank you to the staff at Granite Ridge Care Community for their kind and compassionate care.
The family welcomes donations to The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County in Shirley’s name.
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Monday April 22, 2019 from 10am-12pm. Private family interment to follow in Kingston.
