Peacefully at the age of 85 at the Stonehaven Retirement Residence in Kanata on Thursday October 23, 2014. Loving wife of Donald Edwin Paynter (deceased). Mother of Jane, Brian (Linda), Anne (Tony), Stuart (Louise). Proud grandmother of Lina, Tara, Tiffany, and Nicholas. Sister of William (Bill) Nichols and Pamela Durrell(deceased). Mom was a longtime R.N. and a proud and loving mother. Special thanks to family who faithfully visited and called Mom over the last months and to everyone at Stonehaven Retirement Residence in Kanata. Friends and family may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Monday October 27th from 7pm-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 10am followed by a reception. Donations may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
