Beloved teacher to many passed away peacefully January 12, 2018 at age 90, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Devoted mother of Dawn (Late Laurence Brown), Geoffrey (Barb), Gail (Biagio) and Kaye. Loving grandmother of Layla, Jason and Summer Rose and proud great grandmother of Isaiah and Julius. Sister of Wesley, predeceased by sister Gloria and brother Kermitt. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Viola touched the lives of many and was an inspiration to those who knew her. The family wish to thank the staff at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their kindness during their mom’s brief stay. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 Mcleod Street (at O’Connor Street), on January 19, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on January 20, 2018 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carefor Guest House in memory of Viola Johnson.
