Obituary for Allan Lloyd Inglis

Passed away peacefully in hospital, with family by his side, on Tuesday. December 1, 2020 in his 86th year. Loving husband of Doris (nee McNabb) for 60 years. Devoted father of Robert (Bonnie) and Albert (Kim). Cherished Grandfather of Jennifer (Andrew), Lisa (Jake), Kara and Erin. Great-Grandfather to Alena and Greyson. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Lynn (Doug). Allan considered himself a Royal Bank lifer, spending much of his career as a Branch Manager. Allan had great pride in his family and enjoyed sharing this with others. Allan was so proud of his grandchildren and loved to share stories about them with people he met. Allan was calm, kind and genuine. He had a great sense of humour and regularly laughed and smiled with others. He had a great love for his hometown, Wiarton, Ontario. He would not hesitate to recommend visiting the area to others. As a young man, Allan enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always proud of the pine forest he planted on his parent’s property there. He often shared his fond memories of the area with friends and family. Allan prioritized family and friends. He and Doris had a mutual hobby, antiques. Over the years they spent many weekends together travelling the area visiting flea markets and antique shops. Special thanks to the Longfields Manor and the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their compassionate care and support. You are forever in our Hearts.
