Peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her children on Sunday, December 8, 2019. Betty MacGirr in her 95th year, beloved wife of the late Albert MacGirr. Loving mother of Bob MacGirr (Nancy) of Almonte, and Susan Ferster (Mike) of Victoria, British Columbia. Beloved Grandma to Dan MacGirr (Puja), Katherine Reynolds (Kirk) and Matthew Leggett and G.G. to Emily and James. Step-Great-Grandmother to Alyssa, Tysen and Calvin. Dear sister of Brian Chawner and Molly Peake of Leicester, England. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. A reception will follow the service. In Betty's memory donations may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
