Peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 80 years old and 9 months to join his grandparents Joseph Sim and Wong Shee Sim, his father, Jack Charles Sim, his big brother Grant Gordon Sim (Janette). He is survived by his beloved wife Elaine and dearly beloved mother, Rosina who is 102 years old. Cherished father to Jennifer (Jim), Jamie (Carmen) and Jeremy (Rhonda). Proud grandfather of Jasmine, Jackie, Dominic and is an expectant grandfather to baby Lynx in 2021. A little brother to sister Marion (Harry) of Vancouver, B.C. Proud uncle to Brent (Anita), Michael (Arlene), Debbie (Greg) and Andrea (Rob) and great uncle to Bryan, Brendan, Matthew, Amanda, Samantha, Justin, Alexandra and Mini.

Dear cousin of Marilyn (Ming), Craig (Joanne), Brent (Debra), Terry, Sharlene (Tim), Rodney (Terry Wells), Brian (Cyndela), Jeff, Cliff, Greg (Margo), Doug (May), Nancy (John), Stuart, Catherine (John), Pam (Bob), Janice, Glendon (Cynthia), Daryl (Josée), Graham (Lynn), David (Elizabeth), Philip (Sheila) and many second cousins. Beloved son-in-law of Fen You Tom and Gilberte Michaud. Cherished brother-in-law of Helen (Gary), Marlene (Tim), David, Jimmy (Angi), Chantal (Denis) and Susan. Loving uncle to Christina (Rich), Chris (Dana), Kevin, Jason (Kerry), Ken (Dusty), Mark, Hayley (Zach) and Emma. Great uncle to Owen, Dylan, Jayden, Evan, Isaac, Gavin and Kai.
Born in Hull, QC, he worked many long hours at the Café Champlain restaurant but found time to continue his passion listening to music, eating good food, bowling, ping pong, playing ice hockey, and idolizing his hero, Gordie Howe. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 3 at 1pm located at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa.
