Obituary for Carole Mary Lavergne (Meloche)

After declining health and a very challenging year, Carole passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24th at her home The Edinburgh in Ottawa, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Henry (September 11, 2012), loving mother to Martin (Marie-Josée Vignola) of Ottawa, Caroline (Stephen Burke) of Kingston and Lee-Ann Lavergne of Toronto, her precious grandchildren Calvin, Alexandra, Béatrice, Florence, Francis and Constance and her great granddaughter Zélie. Also survived by her sister Margaret Meloche (Jim Leinster) and brothers Michael Meloche (Muriel) and Daniel Meloche. She will also be greatly missed by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother, father, and brother (Mary, Frank and Patrick Meloche).

Carole always focused her life on family first. Her joy for life was contagious and as a result she will be fondly remembered for her laugh and her love. She was a woman of compassion, kindness and exceptional humour. Carole's captivating smile and presence would always light up a room. The memories she created and the fun times had over the years will stay with us forever.
