Obituary for Carole Simpson
Carole Simpson (nee Milner)
March 31st, 1955 - April 29th, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Carole Simpson, at the age of 66, following a brave battle with cancer. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Oncology Department at the Ottawa General Hospital for their kind care, with a special thanks to Dr. Arif Awan.
Carole will be fondly remembered by her brother Stephen, her cousins, her many close friends in both England and Canada, the families of which she became a part and the children she nannied, who will cherish her always. She is predeceased by her loving parents Mary and Harry Milner.
Carole moved to Canada in 1983 from Leeds, England and spent several decades working as a nanny in Ottawa caring for many children. She will be remembered for her loving and nurturing nature, her sense of humour, her kindness and generosity and her enduring loyalty to Leeds United. She always put others first.
By her request, Carole was cremated at Hulse, Playfair and McGarry. There will be no other service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
