Obituary for Cassidy Grace Crompton

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beautiful daughter, Cassidy Grace Crompton. Cassidy was a ray of sunshine when she entered a room with her beautiful smile, always cracking a joke with her witty sense of humour. Cassidy was a grade 9 student at St Martin de Porres High School (Airdrie) where she was a friend to everyone. Always the first person to make others feel welcome and loved. Cassidy was also an athlete with Calgary STARS All Star Cheerleading and the cheer gym was truly her favourite place to be. Cassidy always found a sense of family and belonging at the gym and her cheer family was truly the best. Cassidy loved her teammates fiercely and was always there to help calm a nervous team mate by taking their hand, she was always encouraging her team in a challenging stunt sequence and was known for saying “we got this “ during practice or before hitting the mat to perform. She was happiest on stage with her team pushing herself to be her best.

Cassidy was fortunate to have the best big brother, Evan, who she followed around and always loved to be with. She loved bike rides and spending time at the trailer together.

Cassidy was a lover of all animals, especially horses. She had a large collection of Breyer horses that she treasured and was always on the lookout for a rare one to add to her collection. She also loved cuddles with her cat Jazmin.

Cassidy leaves behind her loving parents, Bryan and Karen, the best big brother anyone can ask for, Evan. Grandparents Larry and Janet LeSage, Leonard and Valerie Crompton as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins especially Stephanie and Emily Coleridge. She joins her Aunty Sarah Hannafin in heaven.

Carrying on her giving spirit - two people will receive the gift of sight and we only hope they see the world the way that she did- full of love, hope and beauty.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
