1933-2021
An elegant lady always — a true woman of valor.
Passed away in Ottawa, on Saturday, April 24th, 2021. Daughter of Louis and Helen Ross. Predeceased by a mere 123 days by the love of her life, Herbert Zagerman. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Garry (Erika), John (Andrea), Sandra Vizel (Dr. Saul). Adoring grandmother of Elisha and Garrick Zagerman, Morgan (Alex) and Jordan (Kira) Zagerman, Hilary, Meredith and Julia Vizel. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Marvin (Harriet) Ross, Ruth (Manny) Shacter of Montreal, Gloria (late Bert) Krugel of Ottawa, Harriette (late Irwin) Borins of Toronto and Sherryl (late Norman) Levine of Northbrook, Illinois as well as late Joel, late Norman (Carole), Shirley Cohen (Al). She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Corinne was a tough lady. Never one to shy away from any challenge set in front of her, Corinne lovingly tended to Herb’s every need for 67 years. She was an inspiration for so many people. In her late-80s, she could be seen texting, sending emojis or having her daily happy hour martini. Corinne Zagerman was a respected role model and will be dearly missed. Corinne’s charity of choice, The Ottawa Hospital, was especially helpful in her final days, specifically Dr. Miriam Mottiar and Heather Bousada of the Palliative Care Team. The family is profoundly grateful to Sarika Payen for her devoted care.
