Daniel Wilfrid  Cyr
Daniel Wilfrid Cyr passed away peacefully at his country home in Mountain, Ontario on January 23, 2020 at the age of 61 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Dan was a loyal and dedicated City of Ottawa employee for many years. Dan was also a great outdoorsman who had a great passion for fishing and hunting.

Dan is predeceased by his mother, the late Denise Lacasse and his father, the late Robert Cyr.

He leaves behind a sister, Josee Lawrence, a brother, Robert (Bob) Cyr as well as two cousins; Rick Cyr from Barrie and Stephane Lacasse of Ottawa. Dan also leaves behind a niece, Chelsea Henderson (Mike Plouffe) and a nephew, Adam Henderson as well as 2 great nephews, Liam Hogan, Quinn Hogan and a great niece, Violet Plouffe.

Friends and family are invited to attend a service at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway), Ottawa, on Friday January 31st at 11:00am. A reception will follow.


Daniel Wilfrid Cyr est décédé paisiblement dans sa maison de campagne à Mountain, Ontario, le 23 janvier 2020 à l'âge de 61 ans suite à une longue lutte contre le cancer.

Dan était un employé loyal et dévoué de la ville d'Ottawa pendant de nombreuses années. Dan adorait également le plein air et était un grand amateur de pêche et de chasse.

Dan est prédécédé par sa mère, feu Denise Lacasse, et son père, feu Robert Cyr.

Il laisse derrière lui une sœur, Josée Lawrence, un frère, Robert (Bob) Cyr ainsi que deux cousins, Rick Cyr de Barrie et Stéphane Lacasse d'Ottawa. Dan laisse également une nièce, Chelsea Henderson (Mike Plouffe) et un neveu, Adam Henderson ainsi que deux arrière-petits-neveux, Liam Hogan, Quinn Hogan et une arrière-petite-nièce, Violet Plouffe.

Les amis et la famille sont invités à assister à un service à la chapelle St-Laurent de Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200, chemin Ogilvie, Ottawa, le vendredi 31 janvier à 11 h. Une réception suivra.
