David John Christie

Passed away peacefully at home in Manotick on April 26, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.  David, in his 63rd year, was the dear son of the late Edith and Donald Christie.  Dear brother of Suzanne (Brian), Donald (Denise) of Toronto and Steven (Carol).  Also survived by nieces and nephews Lauren, Ryan, Shannon, Vanessa and Conner.  David had a passion for software development and anything related to computers.  He was an avid reader especially on the subjects of history and politics.  He also had a keen interest in music and enjoyed playing the guitar.  Dave was a kind and gentle soul who will be greatly missed by his friends and family.  Friends may visit the family at Hulse Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday April 29, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday April 30, 2022 at 11:00am followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery.  A special thanks to the Ottawa Hospital staff for the wonderful care given to David since 2015.  Donations to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Clinic would be greatly appreciated.
