Obituary for Doris Pauline McLaren (Roy)

Doris Pauline McLaren (Roy)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doris Pauline McLaren on October 11 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Keith David McLaren. Cherished mother of Heather Zappettini (William) and Stephen McLaren (Yvonne). Cherished Grandmother of Matthew and Ellen Trinneer and Kristen (Jesse) Loates and Justin (Valerie) McLaren. Cherished great Grandmother of Judah, Owen, Willa and Amelia. She was predeceased by her brother Gerald Roy and sister Jean Gibson.

A special woman, she will always be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She loved spending summers in New Brunswick at her cottage in Shediac. She and Keith travelled extensively and spent many happy winters in Portugal where they built a group of close friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to Doris’s friends, Katherine Taylor (Scott and Kirk), Diane Trinneer and Pauline Rubarth who enriched her life through their friendships.

There will be no service due to COVID restrictions. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.
