Obituary for Dorothy Frances Forde (Lord)
We are saddened to announce the passing of our “Grannie” Dorothy Forde on Aug 30, 20 at the age of 103. She was the loving wife of the late Gordon Forde, daughter to the late John and Catherine Lord, and sister to the late Esther Novell and late Edwin Lord.
She will be forever loved and missed by her granddaughters Stephanie Rose-Harvey(Trevor) and Candace Rose-Royo(Victor) and her great grandchildren Stephen, Brooke, Sarah, Isabela and Xavier. She will be missed by her extended family and those she had touched over the years. Mother to Carolynne Forde and grandmother to Andrea Rose.
Those that met her over the latter years often asked Grannie what was her secret to her good health, she would proudly share “eating a few pieces of dark chocolate daily, a healthy dose of salt, no coffee or tea, and just keep moving as much as you can”.
She will be greatly missed, and has left a lasting impressions on us all of a determined independent woman, with a love for gardening and her family.
