Peacefully on July 4th and surrounded by her family, our beloved mother passed away at the age of 93. Devoted mother to Barb (Keith Dysart), Marilyn Baenziger, John Baenziger and Liset (Michael Stanton). Grandmother to Michael and Robert Dysart, Andrew Baenziger, Kaitlin and Jeffrey Baenziger, and Daniel and Thomas Stanton. Predeceased by her parents and brothers Bob and John Stubbins and her twin sister Joyce Turk. Friend to cherished family member, Donna Horner.

Mom was a deeply caring person who loved her family, friends, long walks and time at the cottage.  She was quiet, enthusiastic and creative. She loved to read, knit, watch men’s curling (“the women yell too much”) and was always willing to lend a hand.  She was a devoted and active member of City View United Church where she had many nurturing friends. Mom will be dearly missed for her warm, welcoming smiles, her generosity and, of course, her apple pie and chocolate chip cookies.  

A visitation will be held at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry - Central Chapel, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on August 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3 pm on August 6 at City View United Church, 6 Epworth Avenue, Nepean.

In lieu of flowers, mom would appreciate a donation to either the City View United Church or to CHEO.
