Grummisch, Frederika Hendrika (nee Van Ooijen)
January 20, 1926 – December 6, 2020

With heavy hearts we announce Frederika's passing; a dedicated and loving wife, mother, Oma and aunt. Frederika was predeceased by her husband Oscar (her hero) for whom she cared for many years while he battled Multiple Sclerosis.

Our dear Oma leaves behind her daughters Gertrude D'Angelo (Antony), and Judy Grummisch-MacWilliam (Leigh); and two sons Eric (Cindy) and Frank. Dearly loved by grandchildren Carla, Ariana, Jennifer, Kari, Jordan, Aaron, Esther, Roderick, Stephen, Michael, Angela and Julia and great grandchildren Chloe, Harrison, Oscar, Madeline, Nicholas, Nora, Clark, Ben, Leighton, Jakob, Wyatt, Zachary, Cody, Gabby, Cassidy, Alexis and Brooklyn.

Frederika was an accomplished artist, receiving her Certificate in Fine Arts at the age of 65. She loved driving and visiting all the little towns surrounding Ottawa. A lover of classical music, she was an active member of the Dutch Coral Society and loved to sing hymns every Sunday in church.

Oma will be forever missed but we rejoice in the knowledge that she is in the arms of her Saviour.

Due to COVID restrictions, funeral services will be private followed by interment in Beechwood Cemetery. In Frederikas memory donations may be made to Kaylas Angel Fund (Lung Cancer Canada).
