Condolence From: Don and Dorothy McIntosh
Condolence: To the Bowen Family,

So very sorry to hear of Gerry's passing.
We recently read the beautiful tribute to him in the Bridgetown Reader.
Gerry was a special gentleman and friend. We have many fond memories of the Bowen family living here in Bridgetown Nova Scotia.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of loss.

With our deepest sympathy,
Don and Dorothy McIntosh

Condolence: Grandjerry
Thank you for being you. All you touched were better for it.
I hope you know how much positive influence your interest, kindness, stories, smile laughter and love brought to people who met and had the chance to know you.
As one of the Rapp kids, you loved our Mom, you made her happy and opened your arms to us. You brought a salt water perspective to our Army/Air Force heritage.

Like Paddy, I enjoyed the time we got to spend together, while I worked at Perley Rideau Vets.

Reference to us, very quickly went from Patsy's Stepdad to Gerry Bowen's stepdaughter around the place. Rec. Staff particularly just referred to you as "my Dad". I was proud.

Thank you Grandjerry and all the Bowen family for welcoming us and making us part of your family.
Love you and will remember you, Always. Patsy

Condolence: No one told a story better than Uncle Gerry. I learned more about my father Desmond (his older brother by a few years) than I could have imagined. Gerry told me just a year ago that my dad danced with Vera Lynn during the war. Only a little brother would hang on to that kind of information for so long!

I had the great delight in my life to work in the Perley building for two years while Gerry was living there. We had the chance to have so many great times and every now and then I'd make him mashed potatoes, breakfast sausages and creamed corn - his favorite comfort meal. I am so glad we had that time. When we'd sit in the cafeteria at the Perley not a person walked by who didn't pause to greet Gerry. He was beloved and in turn always sunny, kind and interested in others.

My Uncle Gerry was the embodiment of what it is to be a gentleman and I will miss him. But I believe he's now meeting up with dad again - and my mother Jean who taught him how to dance when he was 18 - and all the company of those who have gone before into the great adventure of what comes next.

Clear sailing Gerry... now and forever.

Condolence: Sincere condolences to family, friends, fellow Volunteer Interpreters of the Canadian War museum and all whose lives were touched by Gerry. I enjoyed his company and stories about personal experiences as a serving sailor and soldier. Rest in peace dear friend.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Condolence: It is with profound sadness that we have lost such a wonderful human being. Mr. Bowen brought rays of sunshine to everyone he met. He had a wonderful smile and a positive outlook on life. I will miss seeing him outside the cafeteria each morning.

May the wonderful memories ease your loss.
