Jacob was tragically taken from us in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at the age of 27 years. Beloved son of Mike and Kelly Bakker. Much loved brother of Sydney Muhammad (Abdallah) and nephew Zayne. Cherished grandson of Cornelia Bakker and Wanda Corbett. Jacob will be sadly missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Jacob’s Life will take place at a later date.

The Ottawa Safety Council will be accepting donations in Jacob’s name to bring recognition to motorcyclist road safety and awareness directed to fellow motorist on the roads. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Safety Council will help support the design, purchase and installation of a road sign that will caution drivers to be mindful of motorcyclists.
