James passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Saturday, September 28th 2019 at the age of 52. Cherished husband of Donna Petersen (nee Smith) and proud step-father of Stephen Wynn and his wife Catherine and even prouder grandfather to Vanessa and Peyton Wynn. He is the beloved son of Ole and Phyllis Petersen, brother to Michael (Lisa) and predeceased by his brother Doug (Tami). Left to mourn are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cherished friends. Jim had a zest for life, a wicked sense of humour and was committed to being the best bylaw officer and fireman that he could be. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Family and Friends are invited to visit the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville, on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, 285 County Road 44, Kemptville, on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11 am followed by a reception and interment at South Gower Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Big Sky Ranch or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
